- Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Standard Business Hours
- Compensation: $85-110k + annual bonus

Position Summary
The Crane/Conveyor Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of the service department, leading a team of field technicians responsible for servicing overhead cranes, hoists, conveyors, vertical lift modules (VLMs), Kardex/Remstar systems, and other automated material handling equipment.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong electrical and mechanical background, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proven experience managing service teams and job sites. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and project coordination.
- Lead and mentor service technicians, providing technical guidance, professional development, and performance oversight.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues on cranes, hoists, conveyors, VLMs, and Kardex/Remstar systems.
- Manage inventory, tools, and equipment for service projects and maintenance programs.
- Maintain compliance with all safety standards and company procedures.
- Develop and strengthen customer relationships through clear communication and excellent service delivery.
- Track service performance metrics, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to support new installations, retrofits, and system upgrades.
- Respond to escalated service issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Represent HOJ values and act as a professional point of contact with customers and subcontractors.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of service or maintenance management experience in material handling or related industrial fields.
- Strong electrical background with hands-on troubleshooting experience in industrial controls, motors, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with overhead cranes, bridge cranes, hoists, conveyors, and automated storage systems (Kardex/Remstar preferred).
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, train, and motivate service teams.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- U.S. work authorization.
- Ability to pass background check and random drug screenings.
Preferred:
- Experience coordinating large-scale service projects or multiple job sites simultaneously.
- Technical certifications or training in electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.
- Strong business acumen related to service performance metrics, scheduling, and customer retention strategies.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods as needed.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments year-round.
- Ability to access elevated work areas safely.
